Community Health & Fitness in Harlem on Sat, Apr 30, 2011

DID YOU KNOW THAT a simple daily walk can help lower "bad" cholesterol while raising your "good" cholesterol, help reduce your risk of or manage type 2 diabetes, and help with weight management? Want to learn more? Do you have expert advice on making life style choices for healthier living?  Come and share and learn - volunteer for our Community Health and Fitness Day, where Duke alumni will provide families in the Harlem community basic medical testing, fitness classes, seminars about nutrition, and healthy cooking classes, to encourage the kinds of lifestyles that help people avoid diabetes, hypertension, obesity, etc.

For more information, to volunteer, or to underwrite some of our costs, please contact Jack Boyd at 212-642-9256 (office) or 917-514-2282 (cell).
