DURHAM -- The Blue Devils are celebrating 40
years of Women’s Varsity Athletics at Duke University this year. The Duke
Department of Athletics is paying tribute to the women whose pioneering efforts
laid the foundation for athletics to become and integral part of a woman’s
experience at Duke.
Duke Athletics is collaborating with the Duke Alumni Association, in conjunction with the “Winning Women: Advocates, Educators, Athletes” weekend to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Duke Women’s Athletics. The weekend will take place on February 23-26, 2012.
If you are a former Duke women’s varsity athlete, you may register for the weekend here. The weekend will be highlighted on Saturday February 25th at 6:30 P.M at the Duke Women’s Gala. The evening begins in the Hall of Honor with a “Walk Through History”, followed by cocktails and dinner in Scharf Hall.
The cost to attend the Gala is $75 per person. You may RSVP by contacting Carey Goodman at cgoodman@duaa.duke.edu by February 15.
